I'm not sure what it's like where you live right now, but DC can't make up its mind; one day we are nearing 70 degrees, and the next we struggle to touch 30. These huge swings in temperature make getting dressed in the morning much harder than it should be, plus I can't seem to kick this cold. Okay, I'm done whining...on to a menu which I am hoping will lift my spirits this week.
Step 1: Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) Pick-Up
It's another great week for The Box (my new name for delicious vegetables we bring home each week). Winter sometimes means less produce variety, but Smuckers and the Lancaster, PA farmers continue to wow me. For those of you new to this series, check out my thoughts on menu planning.
Step 2: Menu Creation

**= This recipe is from a Paleo slow cooker book I have at home, but you can find something similar here. The recipe calls for kale, but I am making a swap for mustard greens this week.
***= On the menu at our favorite place this week: Tuscan bean and sundried tomato crostini, Balsamic marinated steak with goat cheese risotto and arugula salad, Tiramisu parfait (plus wine of course!).

It's a super short, and simple list this week; my favorite.
