David and I woke up to this...chilling to the bones ice, and sleet; the perfect kind of day to drag myself to a favorite coffee shop (thanks Songbyrd Cafe), and write. This week's menu took a little longer to plan than usual; multiple outings, work holiday lunches, and the onset of food boredom forced me to think more creatively.

Step 2: Menu Creation
As I mentioned before, a small amount of food boredom starting setting in for me this week. What is food boredom? I guess it's a lot of things, but for me, it's the dread/dissatisfaction in making the same meal staples for yet another week. Trying new recipes requires extra effort, but well worth it in times like these.
You will notice most nights the side is a roasted vegetable. I get bored of food quickly, however, roasted vegetables are amazing, and I will never get sick of them.
* = Monday night we are going to see Wicked, thanks to a wonderful anniversary gift from my grandparents, so we will grab a quick bite before the show.
** = I will be making this sweet potato salad, which I have made before; it's perfect for a potluck.
*** = My brother and his fiancee will be in town; always a great excuse to try a new restaurant.
Step 3: Grocery Shopping
Urg! I already deleted my grocery list. This week required trips to both Trader Joes and Giant; tomorrow commences my annual Holiday Cookie Baking Extravaganza (you can look forward to some upcoming recipe reviews), so I needed a separate trip to the baking aisle at Giant.
